Do you remember my bodymelts? Well, this is somthing like that. It looks like a small candle, but actually it contains coconut oil, cacao- and sheabutter and gets the lovely colour from wheat germ oil and structure from beeswax. How to use it? Light the candlewick and wait for the oils to melt; this shouldn't take long. Put out the candle, check the temperature of the oils and pour a bit in your hand. You can start to massage now. If you are done massaging you can just put away the massage candle for a next time, the oils will become solid again.
Vi ricordate i bodymelts? Questo è una cosa del genere. Ha l'aspetto di una candelina, ma invece contiene olio di cocco, burro di cacao e karité/galam. Il bel colore viene dal olio di germe di grano e la cera d'api lo tiene solido. Come usare? Accendi lo stoppino ed aspetta che l'olio si scioglie; questo non dovrebbe durare molto. Spegni la candelina e controlla la temperatura dell'olio. Versa un po' d'olio nelle mani per iniziare il massaggio. Quando hai finito puoi mettere via la candelina per una prossima volta, l'olio ritornerà solido.
Herinner je je de bodymelts nog? Dit is iets vergelijkbaars. Het lijkt op een kaarsje, maar het bevat cocosolie, cacao- en karitéboter. De mooie oranje kleur krijgt het door tarwekiemolie en bijenwas zorgt voor een vastere structuur. Hoe te gebruiken? Steek het wiekje aan en wacht tot de oliën vloeibaar worden; dit duurt niet zo lang. Blaas het vlammetje terug uit en controlleer de temperatuur van de oliën. Giet een beetje olie in je handen en je bent klaar om te beginnen. Na de massage kan je het kaarsje weer wegzetten voor een volgende keer, de oliën worden weer vast.

I had the idea for a shampoo bar for my travelling husband, just as the shaving soap. Although most hotels have free shampoo, you never know what you'll get. I made this shampoo bar with many precious oils as avocado oil, wheat germ oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, sheabutter and cocoa butter. It is scented with peppermint and eucalyptus EO, for a fresh wake-up on the morning. I have used it and it gives a very nice, soft foam and leaves the hair squeaky clean. It's also nice to use on the skin, so ideal for backpackers and light travellers as well: one soap for the whole body.
Ho avuto l'idea per questo sapone per il mio marito viaggiatore, come il sapone da barba. Anche se la maggioranza degli hotel ha sempre shampo nel bagno, non si sa mai dove si va a finire. Per fare questa saponetta-shampo ho usato oli preggiati come l'olio di avocado, di germe di grano, di ricino, di jojoba, burro di karité e burro di cacao. L'ho profumato con essenze di menta piperita e eucalipto, per un risveglio fresco al mattino. Ho testato la saponetta sui miei capelli: mi ha dato una bella schiuma morbida e lascia i capelli freschi e puliti. Si può anche usare sulla pelle e perciò è ideale per chi ama viaggiare leggero: un sapone per tutto il corpo.
Ik kreeg het idee voor deze zeep voor mijn reizende echtgenoot, net zoals de scheerzeep. Ook al hebben de meeste hotels gratis shampoo (en douchegels), met de hedendaagse crisis weet je nooit waar je terechtkomt. Om deze shampoo-zeep te maken heb ik waardevolle oliën gebruikt zoals avocado-olie, tarwekiemolie, ricinusolie, jojoba-olie, karitéboter en cacaoboter. Ik heb hem gegeurd met EO van pepermunt en eucalyptus, om fris en monter wakker te worden. Ik heb hem zelf uitgeprobeerd en hij gaf een zalig zacht schuim (zelfs op vet haar) en maakt het haar helemaal proper. Ik was een beetje bang dat het moeilijk uit te kammen zou zijn, maar zelfs dat ging vlot bij mijn halflange haar. De shampoo-zeep kan ook op het lichaam gebruikt worden, wat het de ideale reisgenoot maakt van rugzak-reizigers of al wie graag licht reist.

Lots of men use shaving foam or gel, but there are still men who prefer shaving soap. My husband always uses gel. But lately he's travelling a lot for work. And travelling for work often means flying. If he's away for only a few days he wants to take only hand-luggage, but with safety restrictions nowadays you can't taken any liquids and/or gels in your hand-luggage. This is why my husband asked me to make him a shaving soap: a bar of soap can safely be put in the hand-luggage.
I made this luscious shaving soap with olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil and kaolin clay (a white clay) that allows the rasor blade to slide softly over the skin. I have scented it with a mix of EO's and FO's: bergamot, patchouli, peppermint, ylang-ylang and grean tee. It's become a fresh and manly perfume. I have tested the shaving soap on my own legs and armpits and it shaves like a dream! And I even tried it on the most delicate place of my body and didn't get any rash!
La maggioranza degli uomini - come mio marito - preferisce radersi con la schiuma o gel da barba, ma ci sono ancora uomini che preferiscono il sapone. Ma ultimamente mio marito deve spesso viaggiare per il lavoro. Di solito viaggia con l'aereo e per pochi giorni. Ed allora preferisce portare solo il bagaglio a mano. Ma come sapete, con le regole di sicurezza che ci sono, è proibito portare dei liquidi (o gel) nel bagaglio a mano. Perciò ho fatto un sapone da barba per mio marito. Questo sapone è fatto con olio d'oliva, olio di cocco, olio di palma, olio di ricino ed argilla bianca. L'argilla serve per far scivolare la lametta senza tagliare la pelle. L'ho profumato con bergamotto, patchouli, menta, ylang-ylang e tè verde. E' un profumo fresco e virile.Ho testato il sapone sulle mie gambe ed ascelle ed il risultato era ottimo: pelle liscia, niente taglietti! L'ho persino testato sulla parte più delicata della mia pelle ed è andato benissimo, senza pelle irritata o prurito.
De meeste mannen scheren zich met scheerschuim of -gel, maar er zijn nog mannen die scheerzeep gebruiken. Mijn echtgenoot gebruikt meestal scheergel. Maar de laatste tijd moet hij nogal veel reizen voor het werk. En reizen voor het werk is meestal per vliegtuig en soms maar voor een dag of 2. Hij neemt dan liefst alleen handbagage mee. Maar zoals je wel weet zijn er tegenwoordig nogal strenge veiligheidsregels, waardoor je geen vloeistoffen en/of gels mag meenemen. Daarom heb ik deze scheerzeep gemaakt. Deze zachte scheerzeep is gemaakt met olijfolie, kokosolie, palmolie, ricinus olie (ofte wonderolie) en kaolien klei, een witte klei die ervoor zorgt dat het scheermesje zacht over de huid glijdt. Voor de geur gebruikte ik een mengeling van EO's en PO's: bergamot, patchouli, pepermunt, ylang-ylang en groene thee. Het is echt een frisse, mannelijke geur geworden.Ik heb de scheerzeep op mijn eigen benen en oksels getest: zacht schuim, gladde huid en geen wondjes! Zelfs mijn bikini-lijn doorstond de scheertest zonder "boebels".
