Strawberry mint salt bar

This is a saltbar, a soap made with sea salt. The pink part is scented with Strawberry Fields, the white part with peppermint. Unfortunately I put in a little too much pink colouring, but it doesn't leave stains on cloths/towels and is easily rinsed off the sink.

Questo sapone è fatto con sale marino. La parte rosa è profumata di fragola, la parte bianca alla menta. Sfortunatamente ho sbagliato un po' il colore, ma non lascia macchie su vestiti e/o asciugamani e si risciaqua facilmente.

Dit is een saltbar, gemaakt met zeezout. Het roze gedeelte is gegeurd met Strawberry Fields, het witte gedeelte met pepermunt. Ik heb wel lichtjes overdreven met de roze kleurstof, maar gelukkig laat het geen vlekken op kleding en/of handdoeken en kan je het makkelijk wegspoelen in de wastafel.

Honey & Oatmeal, new batch

Remember my Honey & Oatmeal soap? It was all finished, so I made a new batch. Same procedure, only I have added "Honey, milk & oatmeal" PO instead of almond essence.

Vi ricordate il mio sapone Miele & Avena? Era tutto finito e allora ne ho fatto uno nuovo. Stessa procedura, solo che ho messo profumo di "Miele, latte & avena" invece dell'essenza di mandorla.

Ken je mijn Haver & Honing zeep nog? Die was allemaal op, dus heb ik een nieuwe batch gemaakt. Zelfde procedure, alleen heb ik "Honing, melk & haver" PO toegevoegd i.p.v. amandel essence.

Sweet Coffee

This is a HP half coconut/half olive oil soap, coloured with strong coffee and scented with sweet vanille PO, hence the name: Sweet Coffee. It's an ideal soap to use in the kitchen, as coffee is known for being able to remove odours. Even after cleaning fish your hands will be clean and with no odours left!
Questo sapone è metà/metà olio di oliva e olio di cocco. L'ho colorato con caffè forte e profumato con vaniglia. Da quest'ultimo deriva il nome: Caffè Dolce. Un sapone ideale da usare in cucina, perchè il caffè è noto per togliere gli odori. Anche dopo aver squamato un pesce le mani risultano pulite e inodore!

Mediterranée

I got the idea for this soap one morning at 5:30! Now that's what I call an obsession ;o) . I couldn't get back to sleep, so I got op at 6 o'clock to make it. The base of this soap is a hot process made with half/half coconut and olive oil, which I have overfatted 10% with sheabutter after gelling. When the soap was ready to pour in the mould I have added little pieces of henna-tattoo soap (a way to save the disaster batch ;o) ). The pieces of henna-soap are scented with Orange blossom scent, the light blue base has a nice oriental scent: Marakesh. Because it has been overfatted with sheabutter it is very soft on your skin. The blue color with brown pieces reminds me of the mediterranean sea and it's beaches.
Ho avuto l'idea per questo sapone una mattina alle ore 5:30! Si puo' passare per ossessione, no? Comunque, non riuscivo più a dormire ed allora mi sono alzata alle 6 per farlo. La base azzurra di questo sapone è un 'Hot Process' fatto con metà/metà olio di cocco e di oliva. Ho reso questo sapone super-dolce per la pelle aggiungendo del burro di karité a fine processo. Ho anche aggiunto dei pezzetti di sapone henna-tatù (per salvare almeno un po' del disastro ;o) ). Questi pezzetti hanno il profumo di fiori d'arancio, mentre la base azzurra è profumata con un profume leggero orientale: Marakesh. Il colore azzurro con pezzi marrone mi fà pensare il mare mediterraneo e le sue spiaggie.

Henna swirl

I tried to make an artistic looking soap, but it really didn't turn out the way I wanted it. It's based on my henna-tattoo soap, but instead of colouring the whole batch I coloured only half with henna and kept the other half white. At least this batch turned out OK to use, the previous batch was almost a disaster.
Volevo fare un sapone 'artistico', ma non è venuto proprio come volevo. E' basato sul mio sapone "henna-tatù", ma invece di colorare tutto il sapone ho tenuto la mettà bianca. Anche se non è venuto proprio come volevo, almeno è venuto abbastanza bene. Quello fatto prima era un vero disastro.

Saltbars with rosemary and lavender scent

Finally a swirl that worked out, and I didn't even plan it, lol! This is a soap made of coconut oil (no other oils) and unrefined sea salt, for a light scrub. It has rosemary and lavender scent. Just having it here near me makes me feel as though I'm in southern France. It gives you an instant-holiday feeling ;o).
Finalmente un 'swirl' che è venuto bene, e non era nemmeno in programma! Questo sapone è fatto di olio di cocco e sale marino grezzo per uno 'scrub' delicato. L'ho profumato con rosmarino e lavanda. Basta averlo nelle vicinanze per sentirsi in vacanze!

Dolphin soap

This is an overfatted soap: a coconut-sunflower oil, overfatted with 10% of sheabutter after trace, which makes it soother on the skin. It looks nice, but this was almost one for the "soap gone bad" section! I wanted to try a swirl again, with nice blue lines in the white background, but the Bergamot PO reacted wrong...I turned from CP to HP and mixed the soap again after gelling and that saved it! Instead of a swirl it's a nice blue, so I decorated it with a dolphin stamp.
Questo è un sapone supergrasso: noce di cocco e girasole che ho fatto saponificare, dopodichè ho aggiunto del burro di karité. Questo sapone dovrebbe essere più morbido sulla pelle delicata. E venuto abbastanza bene, ma quasi quasi era andato male. Il profume di bergamotto ha fatto una reazione con il sapone ed ho dovuto metterlo nel forno per salvarlo. Una 'mixata' dopo il gel, ed è venuto un bel sapone azzurro (invece di un sapone marmoreggiato). L'ho decorato con uno stampo a forma di delfino.

Oatmeal and honey soap

A basic coconut-sunflower soap, hot processed in the oven. Afterwards I have added oatmeal and some honey and a little almond essence. The honey coloured it in this marvelous golden-brown. And do you like my moon-stamp?

Un sapone base con olio di noce di cocco e olio di girasole, con processo a caldo nel forno. Dopo ho aggiunto un po' d'avena e di miele ed un po' d'essenza di mandorle. Il miele ha dato questo bel colore al sapone. E ti piace il mio stampo a forma di Luna?

Een eenvoudige zeep met kokos- en zonnebloemolie, in de oven verzeept. Na het verzepen in de oven heb ik wat havervlokken en honing toegevoegd en een beetje amandel-essence. De honing geeft deze zeep haar warme kleur. En wat vind je van mijn maan-stempel?

Henna tattoo

I simply love this soap! When I read that I could colour soap with henna-powder I just had to try it. I have henna-powder for henna tattoo's (my kids like to have a henna tattoo once in a while) and I knew exactly what scent I wanted to go with it: orangeblossom. Orange blossom extract and lemon juice are used to make a paste out of the henna powder for tattoo's, so I wanted this soap to smell just like the tattoo-paste. And it came out just fantastic! Although it started out as a CP, I made it gell in the oven, so it's really a OHP soap, using coconut and olive oil. I coloured it with henna powder and added orange blossom PO and a few drops of lemon EO. I also substituted part of the water for the lye with orange blossom extract. I finished the soaps with a tattoo-design (made with a thick needle). Isn't it just beautifull?

Adoro questo sapone!!! Quando ho letto che si puo' colorare il sapone con polvere di henné dovevo proverlo. Ho la polvere di henné in casa, perchè ai ragazzi piace avere un 'tatuaggio' ogni tanto. E sapevo subito il profumo giusto per questo sapone: fiori d'arancio! Per fare la pasta di henné con la polvere, si usa l'estratto di fiori d'arancio e succo di limone. Ed è diventato un sapone fantastico! Ho fatto il sapone con processo CP, aggiunto l'henné per colorarlo e PO di fiori d'arancio e qualche goccia di EO di limone, ma poi l'ho messo nel forno; allora è veramente un sapone OHP. Ho fatto un disegno 'tatù' su ogni saponetta con un ago grosso. Non è bellissimo?
